Leonardo da Vinci Vocational Training Partnership Project

What is CAS VET?

It is essential to develop the key skills of pupils as well as their skills related to their prosperous occupation. This has importance at a European level both in education and labour market.
This project is based on the involvement of all the relevant stakeholders, such as educational institutions, vocational institutions, social services, local or governmental authorities, companies. All these bodies should contribute into the discussion regarding problem areas and help to find the “European” model of either education in vocational education, needs of the students at vocational education or the basic required skills for the youngsters. The partners were selected according their knowledge of key skills and this provides an excellent basis to start spreading knowledge at local, regional, national and international levels. We expect enhanced professional skills for staff and a hands-on approach for them in matters concerning vocational institutions and ambition of their pupils. We expect an enhanced skill guidance in vocational education and better ambition for pupils. We expect an increase of awareness in the participating institutions about the necessity of joint action concerning joint problems including disabled citizens. Staff involved into the project activities will have the opportunity to see the practice in life to discuss interesting topics immediately and learn from the best practice. This live experience enables to see the problems in wide scale and create the picture of European model for CAS VET. As all the partners are coming from various corners of Europe they will also bring their own experiences, the real European model of the outputs is ensured by that. Creation and using the European model (of either education or staff) helps international mobility of working force to think and perform quality and use quality approach.

Methodolgy of CAS VET

In each institution a steering group of staff will manage the project and encourage the widest possible involvement by the rest of the education community, employers, labour market and enterprises. In both small and larger institutions regular staff meetings will feature an agenda item on the Leonardo Project and members of the core group will report on activities.
In larger institutions there will be activities which will feature on the institution intranet.
Institutions with their own web site will use this to inform educational institutions, pupils and parents about the activities planned and progress made.
Employers and other stakeholders will be invited to participate in conferences and other activities where possible and practical.
The staff will actively be involved in planning, implementation, development and evaluation of project activities, both at local and transnational levels. In particular:

Moreover, the staff will implement local based researches aimed at focusing on most crucial elements – relevant to own belonging context’s specificities.

All partners will collaborate for comparative studies and present reports al national/local/regional level but also at transnational meeting.
